Copy your image to a qcow2, raw file, partition, LVM LV, and boot as normal for your chosen domain type (PVH, PV, HVM).
Use xen-create-image from the xen-tools package:
xen-create-image --hostname=examplehostname --lvm=myexistingvg --noboot --memory=4096M --noswap --size=10G --vcpus=4 --bridge=xenbr0 --dhcp --dist=bookworm --passwdSee the --help and man pages for more options. You can add your own "roles" to tweak the images.

Temporarily use HVM with cdrom to install, then switch to your chosen domain type (PVH, PV, HVM). You may need to manually install pvgrub.
